ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan have been contacted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the telephone in which the national leaders congratulated each other on Eid-ul-Adha and discussed issues of mutual interest.
According to details, the Turkish President also invited his Pakistani counterpart Dr. Arif Alvi to visit Turkey to eradicate the Corona epidemic. On occasion, the President of Pakistan expressed satisfaction over the reduction in the severity of the epidemic caused by Coronavirus in Pakistan and Turkey. He praised Turkey’s role in providing assistance in the fight against COVID 19 and discussed the global impact of the epidemic.
President Arif Alvi thanked President Erdogan for his strong and clear stance on Kashmir in the UN General Assembly. He said he hoped that Turkey would raise its voice in principle after one year of Indian illegal and unilateral measures in Kashmir. President Alvi said that Pakistan would continue its policy of providing permanent support and all possible assistance to Turkey’s national interests.
He said that even in difficult circumstances, the occupying governments are continuing their oppression in Palestine and Kashmir. Indian Muslims are living in an environment of fear and discrimination. President Arif Alvi highlighted the plight of Kashmiris in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, according to a tweet from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Imran Khan was telephoned by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Issues of mutual interest were discussed during the talks.
On occasion, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan expressed his commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields and appreciated Turkey’s role in tackling the global epidemic and the Turkish President’s support and steadfastness on Pakistan’s position on occupied Kashmir.
The three national leaders congratulated each other on Eid and wished the people well. President Arif Alawi and Prime Minister Imran Khan also congratulated Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on the opening of the historic Sofia Mosque in Istanbul.
