It is Internation Youth Day which is being celebrated across the world. This day is set up to hear the voice of youth, understand their needs, dig out their achievements, and finally celebrate them all. United Nations designed it the day people were engaged in different events and talking about the socio-political and socio-economic issues that are affecting the lives of the people.
However, in the year 1999, the United Nations General Assembly supported the recommendation which was made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for the Youth in the Lisbon. So, 12th August was declared as the Internation Youth Day.
On the other hand, 2020 is the year whose theme is set as Youth Engagement for Global Action. Thus, it highlights three main engagements i.e. Community level, National level, and Global level.
