Pakistan’s national airline PIA has fired 28 employees with fake academic credentials. According to media reports, the PIA spokesperson released a report against pilots involved in various irregularities.
According to the PIA report, 27 employees who have been absent for a long time without any notice have been dismissed from their jobs.
Five captains with suspected licenses have also been fired. PIA has fired two employees involved in embezzlement while taking departmental action, and one employee has been sacked on the ground of incompetence. Four employees who refused to work have been demoted while three employees’ increments have been reduced due to violating SOPs.
According to a spokesperson of the national airline, PIA 13 employees have also been given certificates of appreciation due to their performance.
