A special directive was issued in connection with the Punjab Council session beginning September 2. The Secretariat of the Council has changed the working hours of Parliamentary staff. Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also issued a production order for opposition leader Hamza Shahbaz.
According to a notice issued by the Punjab Assembly Secretariat, the working hours will be from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm from Monday to Friday. The Council will reopen on Saturdays and Sundays. The working hours on Saturdays and Sundays will be at 8.30 am. The Council will be open from 1:30 pm. The interval between prayers and meals will be half an hour. All conference staff will be required to wear uniforms and office cards.
The notice further stated that visitors would be barred from entering the Regional Secretariat during the meeting. For security reasons, members of the Punjab Assembly, secretaries of government departments, and Parliamentary staff will be required to enter through the entrance gate. He also announced that the use of cleaners is mandatory.
The parliamentary secretary’s office also closed staff leave during the session, and Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi issued instructions to produce opposition leader Hamza Shahbaz at the Punjab Assembly, which begins on Wednesday, September 2.
