Wednesday, tabled ordinances relating to implementing decision of International Court of Justice (ICJ) and fulfilling the obligations of FATF on the trial Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian Spy, before the Senate,
Federal Law Minister Senator Farogh Naseem presented six ordinances before the Senate to get approved.
These ordinances included International Court of Justice (Review and Re-consideration) Ordinance, 2020; Public-Private Partnership Authority ( Amendment) Ordinance, 202Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020; Corporate Restructuring Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 and Companies (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2020.
He added that the decision of ICJ related to Kalbhushan Jadhav was about 80% in the favour of the country.
He appreciate PML-N for accepting the decision.
He said that the opposition parties should help the government regarding the FATF bills. He further said that even anti-money laundering body had also showed its satisfaction over the draft of legislation prepared by them.
Shehbaz Sharif also consulted with JUI Cheif Maulana Fazal-u-Rehman and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhuto Zardari over the issue.
