ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing an important meeting of government and party spokespersons, revealed that the Opposition had sought NRO in writing in return for approval of FATF laws. According to Express-News, an important meeting of government and PTI party spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which key PTI leaders, including cabinet members, also participated. Adviser to the Prime Minister Babar Awan gave a briefing on negotiations with the Opposition on the laws related to the Financial Action Task Force.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government considers the FATF laws as a national duty, but the Opposition sought NRO in writing from the government under the guise of approving these laws. Those who have been rejected by the nation are trying to hide their theft.
The Prime Minister further said that our government has faced difficult times, difficulties, and challenges for two years and has succeeded in overcoming the situation after which the entire focus of the government is now on reviving the economy
