Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: Armenia drops bombs on innocent civilians in Azerbaijan’s second-largest city.
According to Armenian authorities, they have bombed the military installment of Azerbaijan’s. Azerbaijan has denied the claims made by Armenian authorities and said Armenia is targeting the civilian population.
According to the BBC, more than 220 people have lost their lives in the recent conflict. Reports are that the death toll on both sides is much higher than reported, in both civilians and militaries.
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a decades-long conflict between both countries. The region is a part of Azerbaijan but ethnic Armenians control the region.
Both countries have gone to war many times before because of the issue. Azerbaijan is a country with a majority Muslim population but it doesn’t have any official religion. Armenia on the other hand has a Christain majority population. both countries were a part of the former Soviet Union.
Turkey is supporting Azerbaijan in the conflict, Armenian authorities have alleged that Turkey shot down one of their jets a few days ago. The claim was completely denied by the Turkish authorities.
Pakistan is supporting Azerbaijan’s claims during the war. Some reports also emerged that the Pakistan army is fighting alongside the Azerbaijani forces. Pakistan also denied the reports of its Army fighting in the region.
