Islamabad: Imran Khan rejects Misbah, Hafeez, and Azhar’s advice as they met the PM on Thursday.
It was Imran Khan’s idea to change Pakistan cricket’s domestic structure to Improve the quality of talent in the country. So he stopped the departmental cricket system and introduced a system with 6 regional teams.
The department cricket had more teams, which meant more players involved in the circuit. Players used to be the employees of the departments so the didn’t have to worry about their jobs. Now with regions, fewer teams mean fewer players, so other players in the country are jobless now.
Pakistan cricket team Coach and Cheif selector Misbah along with Hafeez and Azhar Ali met Imran Khan yesterday. During the meeting, they advised the PM to bring back departmental cricket as many cricketers are jobless now. Imran Khan rejects Misbah, Hafeez, and Azhar’s advice and told them to focus on their job.
According to reports, PM told players that quality is more important than quantity. Fewer teams mean more competition and more competition will bring the best out of players.
Imran Khan also told players to focus on their job and make sure that Pakistan team is performing at best of their abilities.
