In the second ODI played in Manchester, England won the game by 24 runs after scoring just 231 while batting first. England’s bowlers raced through Australian batting to take their team home.
England scored 231 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. England lost 8 wickets at just 148, Adil Rashid and Tom Curran added 74 runs for the 9th wicket. The partnership took England to a fighting total turned the game their way.

Australian captain Aron Finch scored 73 before Chris Woakes bowled him. Archer, Sam Curran, and Woakes took 2 wickets each and Adil Rashid took 1 wicket.
The series is now level at 1:1 after England’s win. 3rd ODI will be played on 16 September in Manchester.
