It should be noted that China considers Taiwan as its part and that is why the growing US relations with it have always been unpopular with China.
On the other hand, the United States has not only begun to increase diplomatic and economic ties with Taiwan but a few days ago a proposal was made to Congress to sell its modern weapons and rocket systems. Reacting to this, the Chinese Foreign Office warned the United States to refrain from establishing military relations with Taiwan.
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping made it clear in a statement that the use of military force to assert Chinese rights over Taiwan was not out of the question.
